On a rain-soaked day, the match between Solihull Moors Walkers and Tamworth was delayed due to penalties from an earlier game, creating a tense start. Walkers struggled to find their rhythm early on.

Tamworth capitalised on the early disorganisation, earning a penalty after 8 minutes. Simon James from Walkers received a blue card, leaving his team temporarily down a man. However, Phil Duffy stepped up with a fantastic penalty save, keeping Walkers in the game. Despite being a man down, Walkers defended bravely, but Tamworth finally broke through to open the scoring.

This setback seemed to ignite Walkers, who rallied with three strong efforts, forcing Tamworth's Glen into excellent saves from both Martin Sibley and Martin Geddes. Despite the pressure, the first half ended 0-1 in Tamworth’s favour.

In the second half, Walkers came out determined to find an equaliser, dominating possession and pushing forward. Tamworth remained dangerous on the counterattack, but Phil Duffy continued his excellent form with a string of impressive saves to keep Walkers in the contest.

Walkers' relentless pressure paid off when smart play led to a penalty, which Pete Hurrell expertly converted, levelling the score at 1-1. Both sides pressed for a winner, but the defences held firm, with neither team able to break the deadlock.

Solihull Moors shared the spoils in a dramatic 2-2 draw against Worcester City, in a game full of twists and turns.

The first half saw Solihull dominate possession, but the breakthrough came against the run of play. Just minutes before halftime, Moors' debutant Jon Haynes was controversially penalised for encroachment into the box, and Worcester City capitalised from the spot to go 1-0 up. Keith Sayers with the goal.

The second half started with renewed energy from Solihull, though wayward shooting seemed to keep Worcester comfortable. However, Pete Hurrell made some astute tactical changes, pushing Moors forward and pinning Worcester back in their own half.

With six minutes left, Solihull's pressure paid off when a Worcester defender was penalised for a foul inside the box. Hurrell stepped up and coolly slotted the penalty into the top left corner to bring Moors level at 1-1.

Just when it seemed the game would finish all square, Worcester pulled off a stunning goal from an acute angle with four minutes left, making it 2-1. Rob Norton with the perfect execution. But Moors weren't done. Captain Pete Hurrell quickly took a free-kick, finding Simon James, who turned brilliantly before slotting home the equaliser.

It was a well-deserved point for Solihull, reflecting their persistence and fighting spirit.

The match started slowly for us, but an early breakthrough occurred as Steve Judd capitalised on a short cross-field pass, securing the lead with a first-time shot. Despite facing a robust opponent, the equaliser, justly earned based on the overall play, Halfway levelled the score. A potential lead was narrowly missed when Clarkey’s strike hit the bar. Floyd Beckett's spectacular free-kick before halftime reinstated our advantage at 2-1. The second half showcased our dominance, with moments of exceptional ball control. The crucial third goal arrived with an impressive top-bins finish by Chris Briggs. A well-earned victory over a physically imposing side marked a satisfying outcome.

Walkers are now handily placed in fourth position going into our next match against an in form Worcester City Strollers.
